Marine life was spectacular

Took our family including our 10-year-old daughter who was nervous about snorkeling. The guide was incredibly patient with her and by the end she was swimming independently over the coral reef. The fish life was abundant and colorful — the children were identifying species by the end of the session. Blue Lagoon in particular has gorgeous coral. The beach break afterward was a nice way to relax. Minor note: the boat ride can be choppy so bring seasickness tablets just in case. But a truly wonderful experience.

Sea turtles and crystal water — paradise!

Our group of six came to Padang Bai expecting good snorkeling and got something extraordinary. The clarity of the water was stunning — we could see the coral formations from the surface before even going in. Two of our group spotted sea turtles and one person saw a small reef shark. The guides were helpful and reassuring for the less experienced snorkelers in our group. We visited two different sites with completely different coral ecosystems. An exceptional marine experience. Far better than anything in the south.

Best snorkeling we have ever done!

We have snorkeled in many places around the world, but Padang Bai was genuinely special. The coral at Blue Lagoon was colorful and healthy, and the visibility was exceptional. We spent over an hour in the water and saw an incredible range of marine life — clownfish in anemones, huge schools of tropical fish, a sea turtle that swam alongside us for several minutes, and even a small reef shark in the distance. The water temperature was perfect. Our guide knew exactly where to go for the best encounters. Unforgettable!
