Beautiful zoo, amazing animal encounters

Bali Zoo is genuinely impressive — the facilities are modern, clean, and the animals appear well cared for. Highlights for our family were the elephant encounters and the orangutan experience, which was truly special. The zoo grounds are lovely with shady walkways and tropical gardens. My only small criticism is that some areas felt a bit crowded during peak hours. But overall a wonderful half-day activity, especially for families with children who love animals. Our kids talk about it constantly.

Surprisingly wonderful for adults too!

We went without children and still had an amazing time. The diversity of wildlife is genuinely impressive — birds of paradise, Komodo dragons, white tigers, sun bears, and so much more. The garden setting is beautiful and makes for a very peaceful walk even if you are not an animal person. The educational aspect of the conservation programs was very moving. More zoos should operate this way. A fantastic half-day activity in Bali even without kids.

Breakfast with orangutans was magical!

The Breakfast with Orangutans experience was beyond what we imagined. The orangutans were so close and so expressive — my daughter could not stop smiling for the entire meal. The zoo itself is beautifully designed with lush greenery everywhere. We saw lions, elephants, and an incredible array of tropical birds. The animal shows were educational and entertaining without feeling exploitative. Our children want to come back to Bali just to visit the zoo again. Absolutely worth every minute!
